Dr. Kali has been an educator for 17 years and holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA and a C.A.G.S. in Educational Administration. She was a secondary classroom teacher for seven years and became a 5-12 Science Department Head for the last three years as a teacher. As an educator, she received prestigious state and national awards including the National Amgen Award for Science Teaching Excellence, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Award, and the Mass BioTech Grant.

 

She is presently a district-wide PreK-12 administrator in the high performing State of Massachusetts (10 years) and has focused a lot of time on elementary education. She holds multiple licensures in the State of Massachusetts including teacher, principal (K-12), assistant superintendent, finance administration, special education administration, and superintendent licensures. In addition, she in an adjunct professor at a state university and has certification in Project Management from Boston University and Master’s degree in biology from the University of Massachusetts. Dr. Kali has provided multiple international professional development service learning opportunities for teachers and students in many countries such as the Galapagos Islands, Peru, and Ecuador and served on an International Advisory Council for the Student Leader Global Environmental Summit in Costa Rica.   

 

Currently, she is an Executive Board member for Curriculum Leadership Council at a university in Massachusetts guiding curriculum and instructional development for many districts. As a volunteer for the International NEASC (New England Association for Schools and Colleges) visiting team, she has visited schools in the Middle East, Africa, and Central America and therefore is versed in many international pedagogical and curricular approaches from around the world.

 

Formerly, she was a Project Manager at one of the top 5 investment firms in Boston, MA and a former marine mammologist conducting research in various global marine habitats.
